Bathroom Remodeling For The Better!
Today, we’re known as Jacuzzi Bath Remodel Of Middle Georgia. But we didn’t start this way.
Our company was born in Sunday school at good ol’ Dudley Baptist Church, where our founders – Wade Kendrick and Shane Shriver – first met.
Shane was teaching there before leaving to serve as an interim pastor at another local church. Wade stayed at Dudley prior to helping start a new church in the area, but he would come and preach where Shane was when he needed a fill-in.
Long story short, they became fast friends!
At that time, Shane was responsible for assisted living facilities that required a lot of maintenance, repairs, and room turnovers. He was having trouble finding someone reliable and thought of Wade, whose family had a large construction company with thousands of employees.
Plus, Wade was running a home remodeling business at the time.
Unlike Shane, who’s great with numbers, Wade grew up in construction, operating large equipment before he could legally get behind the wheel of a car. He went to college to study civil engineering (Shane studied accounting), then worked exclusively in the construction and contracting worlds.
They got closer as friends and fellow pastors while fixing up the personal care homes together.
Then they hatched a plan… why not found and build a company as a team?
After all, their strengths and weaknesses fit together like biscuits and gravy.

Yep, that’s precisely what they did!
In the assisted living facilities, they noticed most problems for older people were in the bathroom: getting in and out of tubs, lack of grab bars, convenient storage, assistive devices, etc. So, Wade got certified as an ‘Aging In Place Specialist’ and ‘Environmental Access Consultant’ to open doors to help people be able to stay in their homes longer.
As things evolved, they transitioned from focusing expressly on folks with accessibility/mobility issues to being a general bath/shower remodeler. They blossomed! Years later, a couple they knew with a Dublin business that did lots of glasswork for them were ready to retire. They sold to Shane and Wade, who merged the bath/shower remodeling and custom glass businesses.
Lifetime Bath & Glass was born.
We Grabbed Hold And Embraced Our Niche
They stopped doing commercial glass work and windows and decided to get back to their roots. It was time to hammer down and specialize in nothing but bath/shower spaces! They wanted to be known for outstanding, expert-grade bathroom work.
One thing led to another, and they were approached by a globally respected brand: Jacuzzi®.
Shane & Wade developed a relationship with them over time and proved their specialty workmanship and dedication to customer service. So, they became a Jacuzzi®-certified dealer and dual-branded at the start of 2023 to include Jacuzzi Bath Remodel Of Middle Georgia and Lifetime Bath & Glass.
What started mainly between Wade and Shane has become a family affair. Within the last few years, we’ve had daughters, brothers, wives, and others join. Today, we’re a fun, family-focused, faith-centered company Middle GA knows and trusts. We do many fun activities together as a family company (like axe throwing and BBQs) and help sponsor events in the community.
For example, we’ve become a trusted partner of our beloved Macon Bacon organization. We set up fun games and a giveaway and do things around the stadium at game time to help support a local nonprofit.
These are just a handful of ways we play a role in our area, not to mention having five pastors on staff from four different churches.
By the grace of God, we found and embraced our niche! In fact, we’ve even begun to expand across Georgia into Savannah and Augusta. It’s really exciting for everyone involved. Marching onward and upward while being the undeniable best for the glory of God. Let’s cap this off by looking at the five most essential elements of our success.
Continuous Development
Proverbs 16:16: “How much better is it to get wisdom than gold!” We don’t rest on our laurels but continue to grow our skills, efficiencies, bathroom product offerings, etc. We pray as a team, we go to conferences, conduct R & D, and so on. It’s all about being better servants for the good folks of Middle Georgia. We’re not driven by profits but by a higher calling.
Higher Purpose
We agree with Martin Luther, who said all believers are called to participate in building God’s kingdom through their works. Whether banker, baker, or bath remodeler, each should subject their talents/gifts to live to the glory of God. Luther commented, “God doesn’t need our good works, but our neighbor does.” We truly believe this is our purpose and it guides everything we do as a company.
Synergistic Management
As you read above, our founders are quite the dynamic duo: a lifelong contractor (Wade) and a gifted accountant/administrator (Shane). They’re pastors, time-tested/trusted friends, and business partners. While many such duos end in nightmares, they’ve been centered in the Lord and flourished because of it – both dedicated to providing wonderful customer experiences.
